Big Update again!

FINLAND IS BETTER!
*sigh* so much potential here...pity it was against the law to buy some and smuggle it back to finland by drinking a bottle of water and refilling it with...*ahem* WHICH I DID NOT DO!
Anyway, yes russia had it's bad points and it's good points...at least the circus was good...the knife thrower could not throw, the animals were cruelly kept and drugged during the act...
And now the lighter side:

Quite beautiful buildings in russia...this one is one of the many museums we visited and the youngish people are more exchange students... they're soo fun to be with...
Another museum, some of the artwork was really interesting but it was one of those "be there" things
A few of my exchange student friends in front of a magnificent church:
And here's the church without the distractingly hot exchange students dancing in the foreground
This is the real russian culture: the babushka doll (something like that)...quite amazing little things...especially when they have novelty things like all of finland's presidents inside them...
Ah yes...some of the results of preparation for "Vappu" the massive Finnish holiday...and guess who taught the Finns how to stick balloons to the roof...
Aww... a cute couple though they're not a couple (they should be)...these are two of my best friends (Iina (left) and Jussi) from school at Iina's birthday party (that was the evening of vappu...I've never before seen so many people in such a small place) ...I managed to teach some people how to juggle and also play some chess at the party!...weird, but anyway:
This is my host brother doing what he does best: he's a rally-motorbike rider, and an extremely good one too...
For the second time we can play the game of "Spot The Australian" though I think this one is a little harder than last time...this was at Jussi's (see above)birthday party even earlier...loved it! I even enjoyed a sauna there! There was table tennis and brilliant music (the finnish music is absolutely awesome!!!! I don't think I've mentioned how AWESOME it is so I'll say it again: AWESOME! Indeed it is)
Okay and back to St Petersburg...indeed that's me on the right wearing a Finnish alcohol shirt in russia (I was a bit worried of being shot in it: russia and finland are not exactly the friendliest of rivals)...On the left is my brazilian best mate: Bernado
Ah yes two more Aussies: Debbie on the left and Danielle (did I say that? I meant daniel) on the right...And there's a massive thingy behind them (My english I'm losing, my remembory for words is shockful) ah yes a vase...
And Finally another brilliant st petersburg shot...I love the exchange students soo much...And that's it for now... Stay tuned (though not too closely coz I'm lazy at the moment) for more brilliant material...well actually the brilliant material is on explosm.net but maybe now is not the time...
hope you enjoyed!
